GAMCA means Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association. Wafid, the official platform for GCC countries, is now the online booking and reporting system.

A GAMCA Medical Appointment is basically an online registration that connects applicants with authorized medical centers for the health examination that is a prerequisite for getting a Gulf visa.

Most of the time, without this appointment, processing of GCC work visa applications will not be possible.

Why is a GAMCA Medical Appointment Required?

Gulf states impose medical fitness tests on foreign workers in order to make sure that they are not carriers of any specific infectious diseases and that they are fit enough for work.

The components of the medical examination are typically:

• Blood tests
• Chest X-ray
• Urine analysis
• Physical examination
• Vision and basic health assessment

And after the completion of these tests, the results are directly sent to the Wafid system for visa authorities.
