On November 16, 1993,Prof. Amit Kumar Dubey embarked on a distinguished career with the Indian Air Force, proudly serving his motherland for two decades. Recognized for his exceptional dedication and outstanding performance, he actively participated in the Kargil War of 1999. Stationed at a strategically vital forward base in the Jammu region, his remarkable contributions during the conflict underscored his commitment to the nation.
His service journey spanned diverse locations, including Jammu & Kashmir, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), and Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). After a colorful 20-year tenure, he voluntarily retired from the Indian Air Force.

Demonstrating intellectual prowess, he pursued academic excellence alongside his service duties, earning qualifications such as MA, MBA (HR), NET, B.Tech, LLB, PGDISS & PD, DLL & LW. A prolific researcher, he co-authored more than 09 research papers with Dr. OP Haldar on various Human Resources Management topics.
Retiring on November 30, 2013, he harbored a deep passion for teaching. Presented with the options of UPSC and SSC, he chose a different path, Joining the Officers Career Academy in 2015, a pre-recruitment training center dedicated to shaping the next generation of leaders.
